The Swedish tenor Per-Håkan Precht studied at Operastudio 67 in Stockholm and at the National College of Operatic Art in Oslo. During his studies he performed parts such as Ferrando in Cosi fan Tutte, Nerone in L’Incoronazione di Poppea, Eduardo in Rossini’s La Cambiale di Matrimonio. And Ormindo in Cavalli’s L’Ormindo.

Per-Håkan Precht was engaged at the Landestheater Detmold 1997-2000. There his roles included The Prince in Rusalka, Ernesto in Don Pasquale, the title role in Werther, Don Ramiro in La Cenerentola and Camille du Rossillon in Die Lustige Witwe.

Recent guest appearances have included Rodolfo in La Bohéme at the Staatstheater Nürnberg. Steuermann in Der Fliegende Holländer and Edmondo in Manon Lescaut at the Gothenburg Opera. Wilson in Doctor Atomic at the Finnish National Opera, Camille du Rossillon in Die Lustige Witwe at the Deutschen Oper am Rhein Düsseldorf, Siegfried.

In the World Premier of Carin Bartosch Edström’s opera The Golden Ring at the Royal Swedish Opera. Lenski in Eugene Onegin in Linz as well as in Halle, Germany, the title role in Werther in Lübeck. Rodolfo in La Bohème with Opera South, Erik in Der Fliegende Holländer. As well as Bob Boles in Peter Grimes at the Norrlands Opera (Sweden). Svante Nilsson Sture in the world premier of Ragnar Søderlind’s opera Rose og Ravn in Kristiansund (Norway). And Marshall of the court in Wikström’s Die Nachtigall at the Royal Swedish Opera.

Per-Håkan Precht many appearances at the Volksoper in Stockholm include roles such as Cavaradossi in Tosca, Rodolfo in La Bohème, Alfredo in La Traviata and Edgardo in Lucia di Lammermoor.

Coming engagements

Current and upcoming engagements include Alfredo in La Traviata at Landestheater Detmold, Victorin in Die tote Stadt at the Finnish National Opera and concerts of Mahler’s Symphony No. 8 with Aarhus Symfoniorkester and the conductor Leif Segerstam, and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 with Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra and the conductor Vasily Petrenko as well as with the Swedish Chamber Orchestra and the conductor Thomas Dausgaard.
