Adrian Angelico, Norwegian mezzo-soprano studied with Henning Vilén at Bel Canto Scandinavia in Denmark, Neil Mackie and Poul Erik Hansen in Norway, Francisco Araiza at the International Opera Studio Zurich and Katheleen Livingstone at the Royal College of Music.

In 2010 Adrian Angelico debuted at the Bregenzer Festspiele, appearing in two new productions of Mieczysław Weinberg’s operas Die Passagierin and Das Portrait. Other important debuts include Angelico’s British operatic stage debut in English Touring Opera’s production of Flavio and debut as Carmen at Opera Trondheim.

Adrian Angelico’s repertory includes Der Komponist (Ariadne auf Naxos), Le Prince Charmant (Cendrillon), Carmen, Cherubino (Le nozze di Figaro), Orlovsky (Die Fledermaus),  Flora (La Traviata), 2.Lady (Die Zauberflöte), The Fox (The Cunning Little Vixen), Waltraute (Die Walküre), Gymnasiast/gardrobiere (Lulu), Gunhild Finne (Den fjerde Nattevakt), and Vitige in Handel’s Flavio.

In 2014 Angelico debuted at the Royal Opera singing the Marquise de Merteuil in John Fulljames’s new production of Quartett in the Linbury Studio Theatre.
And was invited back in 2015 to sig Flora in Richard Eyre’s production of La Traviata on the main stage.

The same year Adrian Angelico sang the title role in NORA–too late, a new opera by Du Wei and Jon Fosse with world premiere in Tianjin, China. The production was toured in Norway in 2015.

Adrian Angelico’s concert appearances include Peer Gynt with Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, Beethoven’s Symphony no.9 with Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra, Trondheim Symphonic Orchestra’s New Year’s concert, Rossini’s Petite Messe solennelle, the St John Passion and a concert performance of L’enfant et les sortileges for Den Norske Opera.

Adrian Angelico’s awards include two prizes at the 2009 Queen Sonja International Music Competition and Wilhelmsen – Prisen 2017
