Swedish soprano Alexandra Büchel received her education at Stockholm Operastudio, Bel Canto Institute in Florence and University College of Opera in Stockholm.She has sung parts like Queen of the Night, Le Rossignol, Gerda in Die Schneekönigin, Second Niece in Peter Grimes, Lucia in Rape of Lucretia, Sing the Body Electric! by C Unander-Scharin and Jane in The Silver Ring on stages as NorrlandsOperan, Royal Dramatic Theatre, Vadstena-Academy in Sweden and also Cape Town Opera in South Africa, Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg, Landestheater Gera and Theater Altenburg in Germany.
Alexandra is also frequently hired as oratorio- and concert singer in works like Mass in c-minor, Requiem, Exsultate Jubilate and Coronation Mass by Mozart, St. John and St. Matthew Passions, Easter and Christmas Oratorios by Bach, Petite Messe Solennelle by Rossini, Ein deutsches Requiem by Brahms, Mysteries of the Macabre by Ligeti, Correspondances by Dutilleux, Requiem by Lloyd Webber, Carmina Burana by Orff and Mahler Symphonies #2 and #4.
Furthermore, she has been awarded a number of prizes and scholarships.
