Benjamin is a young conductor equally at home with modern and historical repertoire. His recent engagements with the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra, Symfoniorkester Norrlandsoperan, Orquesta Sinfónica del Principado de Asturias, The Hanover Band, Wroclaw Baroque Orchestra, Sønderjyllands and Aalborg Symfoniorkestern have all resulted in immediate re-invitations for following seasons. Other current season highlights include Orchestre Symphonique et Lyrique de Nancy, Gävle Symfoniorkester & Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. A former assistant of Iván Fischer and Paul McCreesh, he has recently conducted Orlando (Opera Australia), Ariodante (English Touring Opera), L’incoronazione di Poppea (Copenhagen), Dido & Aeneas (Zagreb Summer Festival), Arne Judgement of Paris (Wigmore Hall) and Gluck’s Il parnaso confuso (South Bank Centre London). The 2012/2013 Season includes Fairy Queen (Staatsoper Berlin), Bach St.John Passion (Nederlands Reisopera), Agrippina (Oviedo) & Cavalli Gli Amori d’Apollo e di Dafne (Copenhagen). He will conduct Bach’s St.Matthew Passion for Norrlandsoperan in 2014.
