Dalia Stasevska the young Finnish conductor debuts in the 2015/16 season with recreation – Grosses Orchester Graz, returns to Sinfonieorchester Basel and the Turku Philharmonic and will conduct Orchestre de Paris in several family concerts. Further ahead she debuts with WDR Sinfonieorchester Köln and Bilkent Symphony Orchestra and returns to Tapiola Sinfonietta. In the past she has also worked with the Finnish Radio and Lahti symphony orchestras and Kremerata Baltica.

A passionate opera conductor, Dalia made a very successful debut with Finnish National Opera in the 2014/15 season conducting a new production of The Cunning Little Vixen and has been reinvited for a revival of the production in 2017. This season Dalia makes her debut with Umea’s Norrlandsoperan with a new production of the same opera. She will also make her orchestral debut with the company in April 2016 with a programme including Brahms Symphony No.2. Summer 2015 saw Dalia return to the Savonlinna Opera Festival to conduct Haydn’s Creation, following a very successful orchestral debut the previous year.
Recently appointed as Assistant Conductor to Paavo Järvi by the Orchestre de Paris, Dalia has previously worked with Esa-Pekka Salonen, the Philharmonia Orchestra and Los Angeles Philharmonic in the same role.
Dalia Stasevska’s charismatic and dynamic musicianship has established her as a conductor of exceptional versatility. Chief Conductor of Lahti Symphony Orchestra from 2021 22 season and Principal Guest Conductor to the BBC Symphony Orchestra, she made her BBC Proms debut in 2019 and 2020 sees her conduct the Last Night of the Proms.
Highlights of the 2020 21 season include debuts with Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, National Symphony Orchestra, Washington, Orchestre National de France, Orchestre National de Belgique and returns to Helsinki Philharmonic, Finnish Radio Symphony and Swedish Chamber Orchestra amongst others. Dalia will close the BBC Symphony Orchestra’s season with violinist Pekka Kuusisto performing Lindberg’s Violin Concerto. Recent engagements have included Oslo Philharmonic, Swedish Radio Symphony, NAC Ottawa and Detroit Symphony orchestras.
A passionate opera conductor, she returned to Norske Opera to conduct Madam Butterfly last season following her debut with Lucia di Lammermoor in 2018 . She has conducted Don Giovanni with Kungliga Operan Stockholm, directed by Ole Anders Tandberg as well as Opéra de Toulon conducting Eugene Onegin. She has conducted Cunning Little Vixen with Finnish National Opera as well as Sebastian Fagerlund’s Höstsonaten at the 2018 Baltic Sea Festival in Stockholm, featuring Anne-Sofie von Otter.
