Mari i Dali utexaminerades 1993 från Wimbledon School of Art. Hon debuterade i Köpenhamn tillsammans med Kasper Bech Holten i Wayne Siegels multimediaopera Livstecken 1994.

Marie i Dali, sedan dess har Holten och Dali samarbetat i ett antal operor och musikaler: Bent Sörensens Tristan-variationer på Kaleidoskop 1996, Mozarts Don Juan på Amager Bio 1997 och Figaros bröllop på Aarhus Sommeropera 1999. Lars Klits Anatomisk Opera på Den Anden Opera 1998 1998, John Frandsens Tugt og Utugt i Mellemtiden, 1. del på Aarhus Sommeropera 1998. Adam och James Prices musikalutgåva av Shakespeares Så tuktas en argbigga på Gladsaxe teater 1999. Dessutom har hon gjort scenografi till teaterföreställningar på Odense Teater, Aarhus Teater och Gladsaxe Teater.

Hon var 2001 engagerad i produktionen av Ole Bornedals stora filmatisering av Dinas bok i samarbete med scenografen Steffen Aarfing.
Säsongen 2000/2001 debuterade hon på Det Kongelige Teater med Tjajkovskijs Spader Dam.

Marie í Dali’s designs spans many genres from feature film production design to classical ballet designs.
Marie i Dali studied theatre science at Copenhagen University before moving to London. She studied theatre design at Wimbledon School of Arts and her professional career began with “Andorra” at Hampstead Theatre.
Marie’s first major commisions in opera includes ”Queen of Spades” at the Royal Danish opera, and “Der Rosenkavalier¨ for Opera National de Lyon¨

Other notable works include “The firebird¨, with Alexei Ratmansky at the Royal Swedish Ballet, ”A Clockwork Orange” at Dramaten in Stockholm, “The Nutcracker” a hiphop version by Sten Koerner, which has been restaged six years running.The sci-fi movie-thriller “the Substitute” by Ole Bornedal. Marie i Dali designed the set and costumes for C. Nielsen’s “Maskarade” and “My fair Lady” directed by Kasper Holten for the Royal Danish Opera.

Marie i Dali has an on-going design-collaboration with Steffen Aarfing.  Their work includes the production design for the film ”I am Dina” and  Wagner’s ”Der Ring des Nibelungen” for the Royal Danish Opera, directed by Kasper Holten, 2003-06. Mariei Dali also designed the costumes for the JUAN-opera movie by Kasper Holten.

Resently she has had great success with her historical costume designs in Molieres Le Misantrope at the Royal Playhouse and Tartuffe at Grønnegårds Teatret, both directed by Thomas Bendixen. Also the designs for Fanny and Alexander in Bergen shows her sharp control over form, style and characters description.
