Polar Music Prize Award Ceremony postponed to 2021

This year’s Polar Music Prize ceremony, honouring Laureates Diane Warren and Anna Netrebko, is postponed due to the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Originally planned for June 9, 2020, the Polar Music Prize award ceremony and banquet will now take place on Saturday May 22, 2021 in Stockholm.

THE 2020 POLAR MUSIC PRIZE AWARD CEREMONY AND BANQUET IS POSTPONED DUE TO CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) PRECAUTIONS.

2020 Polar Music Prize Laureates Diane Warren and Anna Netrebko will be honoured at the re-arranged ceremony on May 22, 2021.

Marie Ledin, managing director of the Polar Music Prize, said: “The most important consideration for us, and the top priority, is the safety and wellbeing of the Polar Music Prize Laureates, the Swedish Royal Family, artists, musicians, guests and all the staff involved. We look forward to an extra special event in 2021.”
