
Magnus Vigilius - tenor
Magnus Vigilius (born 1974) graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Music in 2001 with degree in singing and drama.
He has appeared in opera-productions in Scandinavia, France and England. At The Royal Danish Opera, Magnus has performed with leading roles in The Magic Flute and Ariadne auf Naxos.
As a concert soloist, Magnus has performed with such orchestras as The Royal Danish Orchestra, Odense Symphony Orchestra, Aalborg Symphony Orchestra, and Randers Chamber Orchestra.
In 2007-2010 Magnus was engaged as a soloist with The Funen Opera and performed in well known operas such as La Boheme (Rodolfo), Carmen (Don Jose), Madama Butterfly (Pinkerton) as well as in first productions of contemporary Danish operas.
From 2012 he has been working intensively with the dramatic German opera-repertoire, thus developing his heldentenor-voice.
He was improving his vocal while studying with with Tonny Landy (Denmark) 2010-2014, Stig Fogh Andersen (Denmark) 2012-2013 and Professor Douglas Yates (USA) 2001-2010
In spring 2010 he received The Funen Opera´s Lars Waage price and in May 2014 Magnus won 2nd prize and The Orchestra´s prize in The Lauritz Melchior International Singing Competition.
