Mari Eriksmoen the young Norwegian soprano studied at the Norwegian Academy of Music, at the Concervatoire National Superieur in Paris and at the Royal Danish Academy of Opera in Copenhagen.

Graduation 2010
Mari Eriksmoen graduated in the summer of 2010. She was a finalist at the Queen Sonja International Competition in 2007 and in July 2008 she was finalists in the Hans Gabor Belvedere Operetta Competition in Vienna.
International breaktrough
In October 2010, only four months after finishing her studies, she had her international breakthrough when she sang Zerbinetta in Ariadne auf Naxos at Theater and der Wien. Other engagements have included Blondchen in Die Entführung aus dem Serail and Fiakermilli in Arabella at Oper Frankfurt. Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro at the Royal Swedish Opera. Olympia in Les contes d’Hoffmann as well as Euridice in Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo at Theater an der Wien, Sandrina in Haydn’s L’infedelta delusa at Opéra de Lille and at Theatre de ville Luxembourg.
Soeur Constance in Dialogues des Carmelites, Barbarina in Le Nozze di Figaro, Frasquita in Carmen. Angel in Handel’s Jephtha at the Royal Danish Opera. Adele in Die Fledermaus and Mallika in the world premiere of Gisle Kverndokk’s Around the World in 80 days at the Norwegian National Opera. Papagena in Die Zauberflöte at the Lucerne Festival. Pamina in Die Zauberflöte with Stavanger Symphony Orchestra. Solveig in Grieg’s Peer Gynt in Cologne, Essen and Dortmund. Schumann’s Szenen aus Goethes Faust in Munich.Mozart’s Davide Penitente in São Paulo, Amore in Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice at Festival Baroque de Beaune.
Poulenc’s Gloria and Orff’s Carmina Burana with Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra. Schubert’s Mass No. 6 in E-flat Major at the Lucerne Festival. Solveig in Grieg’s Peer Gynt with Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra. Handel’s Messiah in Bergen, Bach’s Mass in B minor in Oslo. A concert with arias by Rossini and Donizetti at the Gothenburg Opera.
Season 2014/14

Orff’s Carmina Burana in Paris with Orchestre de Paris. Servilia in Vivaldi’s Tito Manlio in Ambronay with Concerto de’ Cavalieri. Arias by Mozart an Handel with NDR Radio Orchestra Hanover. Arias by Mozart with São Paulo Symphony Orchestra. Haydn’s Stabat Mater with the Norwegian Chamber Orchestra and a recital at Bergen International Festival.
Theater an der Wien
In the spring of 2014 she had enormous success as Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro, Zerlina in Don Giovanni and Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte at Theater an der Wien with the conductor Nikolaus Harnoncourt. The operas were broadcast on television as well as on radio. Germany’s largest newspaper, Süddeutsche Zeitung, compared Mari’s success to Anna Netrebko’s international breakthrough at the Salzburg Festival in 2002.
2014/15 season
The 2014/15 season included Pamina in Die Zauberflöte at Festival d’Aix en Provence. Semi-staged performances in Brussels and Amsterdam as well as recording of Blonde in Die Entführung aus dem Serail with René Jacobs. Rosina in Paisello’s Il barbiere di Siviglia at Theater an der Wien. ‘
Brahms’ Ein deutsches Requiem with Malmö Symphony Orchestra. A recital in London with the pianist Alphonse Cemin and Knut Waage’s Høgsongen with Collegiûm Mûsicûm Bergen.
Glyndebourne Festival
In the summer of 2015 she enjoyed a huge success as Blonde in Die Entführung aus dem Serail at the Glyndebourne Festival as well as at the Proms Festival in London.
The season 2015/16 has started with a CD-recording of Ståle Kleiberg’s Mass for a Modern Man and Mozart’s Mass in C minor in Dresden.

Fra hun avsluttet sine studier ved Operaakademiet i København i 2010, har Mari Eriksmoen hatt det mange anser for å være en kometkarriere. Den nådde et viktig høydepunkt da hun debuterte ved Teatro alla Scala i Milano i juni 2013, som Waldvogel i Wagners Siegfried.
