Maria Jinga debuterede som Rosina i Barberen i Sevilla (’05) på Opera Naionalà i Bukarest, hvor hun siden har sunget bl.a. Dorabella i Mozarts Cosi fan tutte, Dido i Purcells Dido og Æneas, titelrollen i Rossinis Askepot og Cherubino i Mozarts Figaros Bryllup. Hun har vundet adskillige sangkonkurrencer i hjemlandet Rumænien. Kunne för förste gang opleves i DK ved Opera i Rebild ’10.
Maria Jinga mezzosopran
A graduate of the National University of Music in Bucharest (Professor Georgeta Stoleriu), mezzo-soprano Maria Jinga has been a collaborator of the Bucharest National Opera House since 2006. She completed her studies by pursuing several master classes, with several professors, including Ileana Cotrubaş.
Throughout her career, Maria Jinga has performed in numerous concerts held at the Army House in Braşov, Peleş Castle, Romanian Radio Hall, Romanian Athenaeum, the National Museum of Art of Romania, etc. - and she is also the winner of the second edition of the International Singing Competition “Masters of Lyrical Art”, dedicated to soprano Arta Florescu. Maria Jinga also won the Grand Prize of the “Hariclea Darclée” National Competition in Brăila, in 1997, the Medal of the Academy of Lutece (Paris, 1998) and was one of the finalists of the “George Enescu” International Competition.
Maria Jinga made her debut at the Bucharest National Opera House in 2005, performing the role of Rosina in “Il Barbiere di Siviglia” (“The Barber of Seville”) by Gioachino Rossini.
